Just a few days from her award at the MTV Video Music Awards 2023 Shakira presents her new song titled "The boss" or «The Boss» in collaboration with the Mexican band "Fuerza Regida".
The top artist last week gave a first glimpse of their collaboration as in her Instagram post she shared a short excerpt from a statement she made to ET.
“I'm not the boss in this song, but wait and see" Shakira said while later sharing a snippet of the song which refers to someone who has the millionaire mindset, but he actually has no money.
Although her previous songs included elements of Mexican music, this is her first full Mexican song. The two artists sing about being tired of their jobs because of their arrogant boss, and they want to quit and be their own boss.
In the video clip, Shakira appears dressed in red, on a horse and joins Fuerza Regida in a wild party that also includes an appearance by composer-producer Edgar Barrera (Edgar Barrera), who garnered the most nominations at this year's Latin Grammys.
Shakira and the Mexican group "Fuerza Regida" will participate in Billboard's Latin Music Week on 2 with 6 October in Miami.
