Lately she has been busy with Only Murders in the Building and her other film and television projects, but Selena Gomez isn't just a singer in Martin Short's fever dreams.
Now, Gomez confirmed that her new album is in the works and announced the release of a song titled «Single Soon», for 25 August via Interscope Records.
The star has announced her first single in almost a year, the “Single Soon”, coming soon – at 25 August, namely. Gomez has been promoting the song for a few days now, with a phone playing what sounds like a voicemail from her younger sister Gracie saying: “Hello, p’ i love you little sister, don't worry about the chicks at all”, and then the first beats of a song. (I wonder what they will think of’ that Chainsmoker and Zayn).
The «Single Soon» comes on the heels of Gomez's chart-topping Rema remix of 'Calm Down', which spent the last few weeks on the Hot singles chart 100 of Billboard (got the no. 3).
Gomez posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos of the new single on Instagram.
"You've all been asking for new music for a while now", he wrote in the caption. “Because I'm not done with SG3, wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that's perfect for the end of summer. “Single Soon”. 25 August. Save it now".
