Carlos Santana Re-Record ‘Oye Como Va’ /Carlos Santana re-recorded his classic performance “Hey, how is it going” by Tito Puente with the help 20 musicians around the world, including Cindy Blackman Santana, Becky G, Tito Puente, Jr., Ruben Rada, Wilkenfeld Valley, Chouloute Minouche, From Jose Valdes Teran.
A new version of his performance of Tito Puente's "Oye Como Va" was presented by Carlos Santana with 20 musicians from all over the world. The new version was presented by the multimedia project Music for Change as part of the Peace Through Music event, of a campaign in collaboration with the United Nations to support the rights of African descendants and social justice.
In the new version, Santana was flanked by his wife, Cindy Blackman Santana on drums and Tal Wilkenfeld from Venice Beach, California, Tito Puente Jr.. from Miami, Al Habran Brothers from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Luis Carlos Cassiani Simarra from Palenque, Colombia, Cory Henry from Los Angeles, Chouloute Minouche from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, André Siqueira from Rio de Janeiro and others .
"This song is so full of positive energy and soul that makes people feel happy and that's one of the best things music can do to change the world" said Mark Johnson, co-founded it 2002 along with film producer and philanthropist Whitney Ann Kroenke of Music for Change. "When we feel love we have more to give and a deeper connection to the humanity of which we are all a part.
