Tips for a better and safer tan!!

The reason we tan in summer is the pigment that our skin has and is called melanin. Its production increases with sun exposure, but because we are in a hurry to get a chocolate look, we can enhance it through our diet……

The substances that help it to be produced are carotenoids, the B-complex vitamins, the selenium, copper and flavonoids, therefore eat lots of carrots, colorful peppers, apricots, dark green vegetables, legumes, nuts, sesame and mushrooms. This way you will tan much faster and you will eat healthier.

What to eat to enhance our tan in the summer!!

1. Peaches

Peaches have a high content of β-carotene and vitamins A., B and C.

2. Watermelon

Watermelon is the perfect dessert for its hottest days (Greek especially) summer. Thanks to its red color, also promotes, skin tanning.

3. Mango

Mango contains vitamins A and C., fiber, and its creamy texture makes it the perfect ingredient for a cool summer smoothie!!

Carrots are known as the main vegetable that helps tan. Add it to salads, fruit juices or as a snack with a little dip of hummus (these are my tricks).

5. Pumpkin

Pumpkin is rich in beta-carotene, fiber, Vitamins A., B and C. also, Its diuretic properties will help you fight and retain fluids that may bother you..

Spinach is full of β-carotene, folic acid and vitamin E.. Spinach is a natural protection against the sun's UV rays. In addition to the properties of β-carotenes, Vitamin E keeps skin hydrated and protects cells by capturing free radicals produced by sun exposure and thus preventing aging.
