The Balmain fashion house is set to host a Music Festival during Paris Fashion Week and the September presentation of its Spring and Fall menswear collections 2022.
The creative director, Olivier Rousteing plans to host a two-day Music Festival at The Seine Musicale in Paris, which will be completed with a fashion show on 29 September.
The Festival will be free and open to the public on the first day (28 September), while on the second day two tickets will be offered for the first 1.200 individuals who will commit to a minimum donation 15 euros to RED and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, of Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Furthermore, Proceeds from the sale of limited edition clothing and souvenirs at the Festival and food and beverages will also be donated to both organizations.
Rousteing organized the first Balmain Festival in 2019 in agreement with the Fête de la Musique, an annual Music Festival held throughout Paris during the summer solstice.
"It is impossible for me to imagine a creative moment or inspiration without thinking about the accompaniment of music," Rousteing told wwd, adding that the purpose of the Festival is "to reconnect and experience once again the combination of the beauty of friendship, the power of music and the excitement of a fashion show in Paris ".
Rousteing also said that the brand intends to welcome up to 3.400 guests at the runway fashion show accompanied by music.
