4 Tips, to remove the smell of mold or mothballs from a piece of furniture:
1. Put a bowl of hot milk inside the furniture. Reapply daily until the odor is gone. When the smell is gone, air the furniture.
2. Put studs in the furniture, leave them for a week and open and air the furniture.
3. To get rid of the persistent smell of mothballs, pour drops of vanilla essential oil into the furniture.
4. If the smell does not go away, wet a sponge with hot vinegar and clean the furniture inside… and rinse with a clean sponge dampened with water.
