Materials for the Halloween mask
- A simple black Halloween mask (from those that only cover the eyes). If you don't find a black mask, paint the mask you find with black acrylic paint
- Crepe papier in strips (you'll find it in bookstores and craft stores). Alternatively, you can use simple crepe papier-mâché that you will cut into wide strips 4,5 cm. about
- Liquid craft glue or hot glue
- Shears
- 1 large ostrich-type feather (optionally)
Instructions
- Cut approx 25 strips of crepe papier-mâché 25-35 cm. (Not all the strips should be the same length because you will have to make flowers of different sizes (in this way the flowers will "apply" better to the mask).
- Fold the strips lengthwise.
Cut into strips and fold lengthwise.
To make a paper flower take a strip of crepe paper and start folding as shown in the photo below. Hold the folded edge of the strip firmly with your fingers. As you continue to fold, "twist" the base and put a little glue so that the flowers don't "unfold"..
When you are done folding the flower put enough glue on the base of the flower to hold its shape.
To cover a simple mask, you will need approx 25 flowers.
Make the paper flowers.
Now you can glue the flowers to the mask. Start on one side of the mask and continue covering lengthwise. Put enough glue at the base of each flower and press. Arrange the small and larger flowers you made so that there are no gaps between them.
Glue the flowers starting from one side of the mask.
If desired, glue an ostrich-style feather to one end of the mask.
Glue the wing.
The Halloween mask is ready!!
